NOTES

  • In addition to competing in their own age/weight category, competitors will be permitted to also compete up one age group, at the applicable weight e.g., U16 -57kg male can consider competing in U18 -68kg.
  • The coach must take responsibility for ensuring the individual’s safety has been considered before entering up an age group. If the chief referee considers a significant discrepancy in the physical attributes of the younger competitor, the competitor will be withdrawn, and no fee returned.
  • A kumite competitor is NOT permitted to compete outside their weight category at the same age e.g., U16 -57kg male cannot also compete in U16 +57kg.
  • Under-subscribed categories may be merged or cancelled.
