The 2024 WKGB Welsh Open Karate Championships, held on November 24th, was a resounding success. The tournament was well-attended, with competitors from across Wales and beyond showcasing their exceptional skills and dedication on the tatami. While the event was a triumph, we hope to welcome participants from Scotland and Ireland next year to make the competition even more diverse and exciting.

Competing on the tatami, especially in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd, takes immense courage and determination. Every athlete who participated demonstrated remarkable focus, composure, and fighting spirit. This event showcased talent and celebrated the hard work and commitment that goes into training.
A heartfelt congratulations go out to all the competitors who took part, their families and supporters who cheered them on, and the dedicated coaches who guided them every step of the way.
A special thanks must go to the tournament officials, whose professionalism and hard work ensured the smooth running of the event.
