Disclosure & Barring Service (Formerly the Criminal Records Bureau)
The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) enables employers of private paid and voluntary organisations in England and Wales to do checks related to the applicant’s suitability to work with children. Access to the DBS is available to all organisations working with children and Adults at risk, either directly as registered bodies or through ‘umbrella’ organisations.
